1 dead after boating accident off Padre Island [Video]

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Corpus Christi Fire Department, ESD2 and the United States Coast Guard are at the scene of a deadly boating accident in Padre Island.

Officials told 3NEWS it was a single boat accident. There were two individuals on the boat, one of which was confirmed dead.

Emergency crews responding to the incident gathered at the Marker 37 Marina following the accident.

Texas Game Wardens are the lead agency on the scene. Our photographer can confirm that a body was pulled from the water.

No other details are available at this moment.

Residents are asked to avoid this scene as emergency and first responders at this time, according to ESD 2 officials.
