1 dead in water skiing accident on Pa. river [Video]

A person died in a water skiing accident Saturday morning in Washington County, according to the county cororner, Tim Warco.

Warco said the victim, who he did not identify pending notification of their family, was waterskiing on the Monongahela River near West Brownsville when they collided with a docked boat.

The person, who gender was not reported, was transported to Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital’s emergency department where they were pronounced dead.

West Brownsville Fire Department and Brownsville EMS responded to the accident. The incident is under investigation by the state Fish and Boat Commission.
