1 killed, 1 injured in Florence County home explosion; deputies investigating [Video]

FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Deputies with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a home explosion that killed one and injured another Thursday afternoon along the 1900 block of Gilbert Drive, Florence County Sheriff T.J. Joye said.

One person was injured and transported to a local hospital. The fire is still being put out. Once the fire is expunged, the arson team will begin investigating the explosion, Joye said.

Deputies don’t know if anyone else is inside the home or entrapped. Count on News13 for updates.
