HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Boating accidents have left two people injured and a child dead over the last four days on Old Hickory Lake, officials confirmed to WSMV4. Both of the reported incidents involved jet skis.
On Tuesday, an adult was injured and a child was killed in a jet ski crash, according to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency and the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office.
On Saturday, a woman was flown to a local hospital after another incident on Old Hickory Lake. Hendersonville Fire Chief Scotty Bush said the woman’s arm was wrapped up in a rope, leaving her severely injured.
She was on a float being pulled by a boat when someone driving a jet ski allegedly hit the rope, causing the victim to get tangled up and injured. HFD said she remains hospitalized but is in stable condition.
