279-apartment complex announced near Virginia Center Commons [Video]

A real estate developer has purchased land near the former Virginia Center Commons with plans to turn the small property into a luxury apartment community.

Tennessee-based Bristol Development Group purchased the 3.3-acre parcel at 10551 Telegraph Road in Henrico County. It proposes to build a five-story apartment community with 279 units.

A building permit filed with the county shows that the new construction community will total around 303,000 square feet of space. The permit for the Telegraph Road Apartments was filed in March.

Bristol bought the parcel from Mohawk Investment Partners on July 12 for $6 million. Mohawk previously purchased the property for $50,000 in 2022.
