75-year-old drowns after falling overboard while trying to dock boat [Video]

LOUDON, Tenn. (WVLT/Gray News) – Officials with the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency confirmed multiple emergency response teams assisted with a reported drowning Thursday at the Tennessee National Marina.

A 75-year-old man was trying to tie up his vessel to the dock on Watts Bar Lake when he fell into the water, according to officials.

He did not resurface, the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency said.

The man was identified by the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency as 75-year-old James Doyle Frost, of Knoxville.

“The victim’s body was located by a TWRA investigator utilizing an ROV and has been recovered by a dive team,” a Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency official confirmed.

Investigator used the remote operated vehicle to locate Frost’s body in the water. Members of the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office’s dive rescue team recovered the body just after 9 p.m. on Thursday.
