2ns Lawsuit Filed In Connection With Last Year’s Hayrack Incident Involving The Sigourney CSD [Video]

A second lawsuit has been filed in the October accident involving 29 seventh-grade students of the Sigourney Schools during a hayrack ride.

The crash happened during an adult-organized event, when the truck pulling the trailer left the road and entered a ditch.  Daniel Brubaker, who was driving the pickup truck that was pulling the gooseneck trailer has been accused of being intoxicated at the time of the accident.

The suit, filed Monday by Bronson and Amy Stewart in Keokuk County lists David and Victoria Heady, of What Cheer, and Daniel Brubaker, of Sigourney as defendants. No charges have been filed in the accident, which sent 3 students to the hospital.
