Baylor Scott & White nurses share stories for nurse week [Video]

Patients at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in College Station are often at a low point, in need of help. If they run into Jacolby Robinson or Wayne Newman, they will be better for the experience.

National Nurses Week has been observed every year from May 6-12 since 1994. The ending date corresponds to Florence Nightingale’s birthday. Robinson and Newman were singled out by supervisors at Baylor Scott & White for their work.

According to Texas A&M, Texas will have a shortage of 57,000-plus nurses by 2032. As Texas populations grow, so does the demand for medical services and nurses.

Robinson, emergency department nurse, is nearing his first full year after graduating from the Blinn College nursing program.
