Belinda Rademacher was unable to defend her 2022 No. 1 singles state title last year because of a hip injury that sidelined her for the entire 2023 girls high school tennis season.
On Friday at the Class A state tournament at Woods Tennis Center, the Lincoln East junior’s pain of missing out a year ago was replaced by the thrill of a Spartan team title, an undefeated state championship season at No. 1 doubles with her partner Gibsen Chapman and seeing her younger sister, freshman Briana Rademacher, become the third Rademacher sister to bring home the No. 1 singles gold medal.
They became the first sister trio in Class A history to win No. 1 singles titles.
