2 arrested for child abuse in Wagoner County | News [Video]

WAGONER COUNTY, Okla. — The Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office arrested a mother and her boyfriend on child abuse charges after a child was brought to the hospital with nine fractures.

Police say on April 5, a child was brought to a local emergency room suffering from medical issues. A checkup led medical staff to contact law enforcement because it was possible abuse had occurred.

Wagoner County Investigators and the Wagoner Department of Human Services conducted interviews and found Daniel Neighbors of Porter, OK. as the suspect. Porter was arrested on June 5 and booked into the Wagoner County Detention Center with child abuse by injury and enabling child abuse by another charges with a $50,000 bond.

Police say on June 7, officers found the mother of the child was aware of the abuse. Police identified Kaydonna Ross and took her into custody without incident.
