1 injured after produce truck overturns in Colleton Co. [Video]

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – A man was seriously injured Saturday after losing control of the tractor-trailer he was driving, causing it to overturn on Interstate 95, authorities said.

Colleton County Fire-Rescue said the man was driving at a high rate of speed around 2:30 a.m. Saturday when his tractor-trailer hauling produce ran off the shoulder causing him to lose control before the truck overturned and blocked a lane near mile marker 60 on I-95 North.

The man had to be removed from the truck through the windshield and was taken by helicopter to a Charleston-area trauma center with serious injuries, firefighters said.
