DMACC Tool and Diemaking Program Details [Video]

The following is a basic list of tools for the Machinist Technology/Tool & Die programs. The bottom of this page shows suppliers for tools.

Note: Please wait to purchase these kits until after the first class with your instructor. The kits will be available at DMACC.

For any machining program students are required to obtain OSHA approved safety glasses. These may be purchased for many sources including auto parts and big-box stores. Wrap-around style safety glasses provide the most protection. The general cost range is from $5.00 to $12.00.

CNC Operators Certificate Tool List

CNC operators will be provided with a basic tool kit in which they can use while at DMACC. Unlike machinist or toolmakers, operators are usually not expected to have a personal tool collection on the job. The only tooling the CNC operators students will have to purchase while at DMACC is basic perishable tooling such as end mills and toolbits.
