A NUMBER of popular household staples have been pulled from shelves over posing a serious health risk.
The urgent recall on the food products have been issued due to the possible presence of metal pieces.
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland issued the notice on a number of Johnston Mooney & O’Brien products.
The affected products are distributed under various brand names including Brennans, Bundys, Dunnes Stores, Aldi, Lidl, Supermacs, Burger King and Kepak.
The food safety watchdog has warned consumers not to eat the implicated batches.
Expiry dates on the products are July 20 and July 21
Retailers have been urged to remove all the impacted batches from their shelves and to display the FSAI’s recall notices …
