2 students stabbed following large fight in downtown Buffalo [Video]

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo Police are investigating an incident that ended with two students being stabbed. 

Buffalo Police were called to Main and Mohawk streets around 12:30 p.m. for a report of a large fight. Buffalo Police Commissioner Joseph Gramaglia said about 10 juveniles were allegedly assaulting another juvenile when that juvenile pulled out a knife and stabbed two of his attackers. One of the teens stabbed had to undergo surgery and is currently in stable condition. 

Gramaglia says their initial investigation shows the stabbings appear to be in self-defense. 

Gramaglia says the two juveniles stabbed were supposed to be in summer school at Burgard, but were not in attendance.
