Kannapolis Cannon Ballers GM starts Olympic fundraiser [Video]

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Kannapolis Cannon Ballers general manager Matt Millward is heading to Paris for the Olympics and will be making a difference for families battling cancer while cheering on Team USA. 

Millward launched a fundraiser that not only celebrates American victories in Paris, but all of the proceeds benefit the families of children who have been diagnosed with brain tumors. The fundraiser also supports the Cannon Ballers’ upcoming Starry Night promotion, which is one of the most popular in all of Minor League Baseball. 

Here’s how the fundraiser works. Community members will pledge a specific amount for each gold medal that an American athlete or team wins during the 2024 Summer Olympics. For example, if Team USA finishes with 30 gold medals and a person pledges $1 per medal, their total …
