ALLEGHANY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Virginia State Police reports a 25-year-old was killed and a pedestrian was severely injured during a fatal crash on I-64 in Alleghany County on Friday, July 26.
According to VSP, the crash occurred at 9:26 p.m. near Exit 7 when a 2003 Dodge Ram was driving east on I-64. The vehicle lost control and ran off the left side of the highway, causing it to overturn.
A 2006 Toyota Corolla that was also driving east also lost control, ran off the left side of the road and hit the Dodge Ram, as well as a pedestrian who had stopped to assist passengers who were in the Dodge.
The pedestrian was severely injured and taken to the hospital.
