New affordable housing is heading to Anderson thanks to a local bank’s efforts | News [Video]

ANDERSON, Calif. – Tri Counties Bank partnered with the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco to help keep seniors off the streets.

You may soon see new housing on the corner of North Street and Stingy Lane in Anderson for low-income seniors and people transitioning out of homelessness.

On Tuesday, Tri Counties Bank awarded a $660,000 grant to Rural Communities Housing Development Corporation to build 44 one-bedroom units.

Dianne Allen, the president of Anderson Cottonwood Christian Assistance Food Bank, said the organization helps out local families in need, as well as the homeless.

“What we supply is a food bank are food boxes for our families that include meats, dairy, bread, canned foods and cereal and things like that to hopefully help the families get through the next few weeks,” Allen said.
