Walker Co. neighborhood upset potholes affecting mail delivery, road safety [Video]

WALKER COUNTY, Ala. (WBRC) – Several Walker County residents are upset after being notified that their road is such a safety threat they can no longer receive mail at their homes.

Neighbors on Kilpatrick Road got a letter in the mail from the Parrish Post Office that says their road is in “desperate need of repair” and is now a safety issue.

The letter outlines that if a solution is not reached by Friday, residents will have to relocate their mailboxes more than a mile away for service.

WBRC is told potholes have been an issue in the area for years.

One resident, Brenda Keller, said she reached out to the Governor’s Office for help but was directed back to the county.

Neighbors say the county has been ignoring their calls for help.

According to Keller, this is more than an inconvenience – it is dangerous.
