A&M QB Conner Weigman getting back in the groove [Video]

Texas A&M sophomore quarterback Conner Weigman is throwing the football and leading the offense in spring drills, which puts a smile on his face.

Weigman won the starting job last season only to suffer a season-ending injury on his right foot in the fourth game. A&M used a trio of quarterbacks to finish the season, including junior Jaylen Henderson and sophomore Marcel Reed who both opted to return. Since both had their moments, some thought the position might be open, but “Conner’s going to go into the spring as the No. 1 guy,” first-year A&M head coach Mike Elko said.

Just being back was gratifying enough for Weigman.
