Arkansas law enforcement leaders offer insight into active shooter training [Video]

Friday marked one week since four people were killed at an Arkansas grocery store. Ten others were injured, including two police officers. Authorities managed to capture the accused shooter and gain control of things in less than five minutes. Something they say wouldn’t have been possible without intense training. A person nearby captured the sound of gunfire coming from the Mad Butcher grocery store in Fordyce. Police say Travis Posey showed up at the small town business and started firing indiscriminately. “Was horrified to actually hear that you know, small town USA, small town Arkansas, had an event as massive as that,” Chris Chapmond, director for law enforcement standards and training for the state of Arkansas, said.
