Armie Hammer Says He’s ‘Never Been Happier’ After Scandal [Video]

Armie Hammer is opening up about his life since 2021, when allegations of sexual and physical abuse surfaced and derailed his Hollywood career. 

“I’ve never been happier than I’ve ever been in my entire life,” said Hammer, 37, in a July 14 interview on Bill Maher’s Club Random. “The good place only comes from walking through hell,” he added, referencing the period he says “everyone just [deciding] that they hate” him. 

The Call Me by Your Name actor also said he was sober after entering rehab for addictions to drugs, alcohol and sex.

“Therapy for me has been a life changer,” he explained. “I needed an adjustment… Here’s what I think would have happened had none of this gone on — the cataclysmic tectonic shift in my life wouldn’t have happened. My life would have kept going exactly as it was, and I know that would ultimately only lead in one place and that’s death.”
