Authorities probing job site crash that killed 1 worker, critically injured another [Video]

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed one man and injured three other New Jersey American Water employees working on a roadway Wednesday morning, Camden County officials said.

Magnolia police responded to the area of the 500 block of North White Horse Pike at 9:54 a.m. Wednesday for a crash that involved pedestrians, authorities said. The right northbound lane was closed for roadwork when a car hit a curb and then struck four New Jersey American Water employees in the work zone, officials said.

The woman driving the vehicle continued and hit two other vehicles, one in northbound traffic and the other traveling southbound, according to officials.

A man working at the site was pronounced dead at the scene. One worker was taken to Cooper University Hospital in critical condition while the other two were taken to Jefferson Hospital in Stratford with minor injuries, authorities said.
