BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Baton Rouge AIDS Society (BRASS) is offering free HIV testing on National HIV Testing Day, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, June 27, at 646 N. Foster Drive, in Baton Rouge.

CareSouth Medical and Dental is also hosting free HIV testing at CareSouth Medical and Dental, 3140 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, from 8 a.m. to noon on Friday, June 28. The first 30 people to be tested will receive a $25 gift card at this location.

Group leaders said HIV testing is an act of self-care, and they are encouraging people to get tested and know their HIV status, which can help them stay healthy. They said HIV testing is free, easy, fast and confidential.
