NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A Bellevue father of four kids said he feels stuck and fears for his family’s safety after a slew of gun shots rang outside his apartment early Wednesday morning.
Neighbors tell WSMV4 it sounded like an assault rifle was fired.
Shattered glass and bullet holes in cars are what people who live at the Forest Park Apartments must deal with after the parking lot shooting. Jimmy McCoy’s minivan was also hit, and he spent hundreds of dollars on a new windshield Wednesday.
“After we hear the shots I took my kids, put them in the back room, got low in the apartment,” he said.
McCoy, a father of four young kids, recalled hearing about 40 gunshots. He also said he saw about five people, he believes to be responsible for the gunshots, run around the parking lot.
