Beloved cook at Muskegon High School passes away [Video]

Ms. Robbie Hough made several food dishes from scratch for her students.

MUSKEGON, Mich. — The Muskegon high school community is dealing with a major loss, after the death of a popular cook, Ms. Robbie Hough.

Chef Seth Johnson with Chartwell Foods said Ms. Robbie would spend hours not only making food, but also making sure the food was good enough for her students.

She was a cook a Muskegon High School for three years.

Johnson said even though she was retired, Ms. Robbie would work 50 hours a week making sure the kids she served had the best quality of food.

“She enjoyed cooking. It was like comforting for her,” said Johnson. 

Johnson said he and Ms. Robbie spent hours in the kitchen bonding over food and eventually their friendship grew outside of the kitchen.
