BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a single-vehicle crash that claimed one life of a Cross man Thursday morning.

Donald Behr, 64, died from injuries sustained in the crash, Berkeley County Coroner Darnell Hartwell said.

The vehicle, a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, was driving south on Ranger Drive near Chocolate Lab Lane around 1:40 a.m. when it went off the road and struck two mailboxes and a tree.

Master Trooper Gary Miller said the crash happened about a quarter of a mile south of Cross.

Behr was the only person inside the vehicle.
