Bond increased for suspect in Hereford House contamination case [Video]

A judge has increased the bond for a man accused of intentionally contaminating food at the Hereford House in Leawood, Kansas. Jace Hanson now faces 33 total criminal counts, including the exploitation of children. Hanson was back in a Johnson County court on Thursday. After the new charges, a judge increased his bond to $500,000 and set his next hearing for July 10, 2024. Hanson is now charged with 22 charges of criminal threat, one charge of criminal damage, and ten charges of sexually exploiting a child.Court documents state that Hanson allegedly urinated on food and “pressed” some of it against his private parts. The FBI became aware of potential contamination following a tip-off about videos posted online.Among the bond conditions include Hanson no longer being allowed to work at any business that serves food. He will also undergo a mental health evaluation before being granted a bond.
