Boys journey through city ends with them setting small fire inside store [Video]

MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio — Officers watched two boys as they walked from Lander Road to Golden Gate Plaza May 5.

As they walked, one boy held up both middle fingers at an officer patrolling the area.

Shortly after the boys entered Marshall’s Clothing in the Golden Gate Plaza, loss prevention reported that they had set a chair cushion on fire.

The small blaze was extinguished by an off-duty Lyndhurst officer.

Officers located the boys in the store hiding on shelves and concealing themselves with blankets.

They were identified as Euclid residents and said they were coming from a party at the Staybridge Suites.

One was found to have been reported missing by his mother earlier in the day.

Both were released to family members and will be charged in juvenile court.
