Another major week is upon us and that means Golf Channel crash-test dummy Johnson Wagner is zipping up the fire suit, taking out a second life insurance policy and getting ready to step into the breach once again. But this time, Wagner didn’t even get a chance to dip his toe in the water before being tossed in the deep end of Royal Troon’s infamous coffin bunker. The results, as you’ve probably already guessed, were as disastrous as they were hilarious.
Before descending the stairs to certain doom, Wagner handed the mic over to Wyndham Clark, telling him, “Let’s hear your broadcaster voice.” Both Wagner and Clark were quickly in over their heads, but Clark did his best to set the scene:
“Johnson Wagner—hit it left in the coffin bunker, second guessed his shot, pulled it in the worst place possible.”
