ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Buford Highway in Chamblee has reopened after being shut down for hours.
As of 5 p.m. Thursday, eastbound lanes were limited to one as crews continued repairs.
Georgia Power says it’s still working to fully restore power in the area.
The City of Chamblee says a construction crew accident partially snapped a power pole around 11 a.m.
The damaged pole is tilting over the highway in front of the Chamblee Police Department, photos from the city show.
The downed lines have caused a power outage in the area, the city said.
The inconvenience took at a toll on nearby businesses who were forced to close.
