CAL FIRE warns of increased fire danger in the Sacramento Valley [Video]

(FOX40.COM) — Starting Monday, fire conditions will be at a higher than usual level in parts of the Sacramento Valley as a trifecta of weather elements converge in the region, according to the CAL FIRE Sonoma-Lake-Napa Unit.

Along with responding to California’s wine region, CAL FIRE LNU also protects Colusa, Yolo and Solano counties.

CAL FIRE shared on Tuesday, that increased winds, low relative humidity and drying vegetation will create a potentially elevated fire risk in Northern California through Thursday.

With these conditions likely to become more common as the year continues, fire agencies across California are encouraging residents and property owners to create defensible spaces around structures.
