Cascia Hall to host mandatory law enforcement training | News [Video]

TULSA, Okla. — Cascia Hall Preparatory School is set to host the mandatory Law Enforcement Active Shooter Emergency Response training July 25-26.

For the first time, Cascia Hall will host a mandatory training for law enforcement.

Law enforcement and campus security employees from schools across Oklahoma will be in Tulsa July 25-26 to attend this training.

The course will be conducted by the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety in conjunction with the Oklahoma School Security Institute.

The Law Enforcement Active Shooter Emergency Response (LASER) courses mixes classroom presentations with hands-on field training and practical exercises to enhance the performance of law enforcement officers’ response to emergency situations.

The Cascia Hall campus will simulate an active shooter situation in which officers can utilize the knowledge and tools gained from the course, primarily using the classrooms and hallways.
