Changing lives at Rasuwa Fitment Camp [Video]

Earlier this year GWT Ambassador Hari Budha Magar visited our Fitment Camp in Rasuwa to find out more about our provision of prosthetic limbs for amputees. Here are the stories of just a few of the people he met.

Member Sing Syangba

In Nepali villages, it’s a sad reality that many young people leave to seek employment overseas. At the prosthetics camp we met Syangba, a 23 year-old who had ventured to China looking for work and found employment as a driver.

Unfortunately, fate took a cruel turn when Syangba was injured in a roadside accident. Thanks to the new prosthetic leg, Syangba can now walk with dignity and confidence, enabling him to actively engage in his community and plan for his future.

Mingma Norbu

Mingma lost his right index finger whilst making a wooden ladle. As a devout Buddhist, Mingma felt that without all his  fingers he was unable to pay proper respect …
