Chico State & Red Cross hosting a wildfire preparedness event on Tuesday | News [Video]

CHICO, Calif. – Chico State and the Red Cross are coming together for a canvassing wildfire preparedness event on Tuesday.

The Red Cross will be going door to door to make sure people living in Chico know how to safeguard their homes as fire season approaches.

The Red Cross is looking to reach as many houses as possible, but they still need volunteers. They want to reach at least 25 houses tomorrow. For this event, they are partnering up with the College Corps, the Climate Change Action Corps and Chico State so only people involved in those three organizations can volunteer.

“We pair off in teams of two, so as of right now, I believe we have seven volunteers and myself,” Mara Rouse said.
