Christine Sturtevant selected as local Jefferson Award national nominee [Video]

SALEM, W.Va (WDTV) – Christine Sturtevant has been selected as our local Jefferson Award National Nominee. Christine is the ladies ministry leader for Recovery Alive, a 12-step Christ-based program at Horizons Church in Salem that helps those suffering from anxiety, depression, grief, and addiction issues.

Christine was chosen from the 12 local Jefferson Award winners from 2023 and will be going to New York City in September to vie for the national Jefferson Award honor. She says she is excited to share the good work being done at Recovery Alive.

“Finding out that I will have the opportunity to go to New York City and talk about our cause is huge because many people don’t even know that we’re there and what we do. This really brings awareness to that so it’s been a huge blessing for us.”
