City of Claremore urges electrical system inspections | News [Video]

CLAREMORE, Okla. — The latest community update from city officials in Claremore warns residents to get their electrical system inspected ASAP.

In a Facebook post, the City of Claremore said anyone who got a generator installed after Saturday’s storm should double check for any changes, modifications, or bypasses to the electrical panel or the cutoff.

The City said if there where changes made, it’s crucial to contact the electrician responsible ASAP for an inspection.

According to the City, inspections are needed to spot the possible presence of hazardous live wires. Live wires could pose a safety hazard to crews, linemen or local residents.
