NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A Clarksville man driving a motorcycle was killed in a collision with a pickup truck on Clarksville Pike on Friday afternoon, Metro Nashville Police said.
Police said the 29-year-old man, identified as Kyle Kotzen, struck the Isuzu pickup truck driven by Larry James, 76, at 1:30 p.m.
Police said James was traveling west on Clarksville Pike and was turning left into his driveway when the motorcyclist, traveling east, struck the pickup. The portion of the roadway has a slight hill, according to police, and the motorcyclist was cresting the hill prior to impact.
A witness told police James was turning at a very slow pace.
Police said there was no evidence of impairment at the scene.
The preliminary cause of the crash appears to be failure to yield by James, according to police. Investigators will try to determine the motorcyclist’s speed before discussing the accident with …
