Communities downgraded to ready status due to Bravo Fire [Video]

The Bravo Fire saw a drop in acreage due to better mapping and forward progress has been stopped west of Flagstaff, officials said on Friday night.

Police officers and community members gathered to pay their respects to fallen Gila River police officer Joshua Briese, who was killed in the line of duty.

The procession began at Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery and ended at Sun Valley Community Church.

The suspect was located nearby and detained.

Officers responded to the area of 29th Street and Thomas Road after receiving calls about a crash involving a pedestrian.

The westbound lanes of U.S. 60 were closed for several hours at Power Road in Mesa after a multi-vehicle crash. It reopened around 10 p.m.
