Community Answers Water Donation Call from Community of Caring – Erie News Now [Video]

With the hot weather expected to stick with us for the rest of the week some, like the homeless population, do not have access to readily available bottles of water, so Community of Caring asked the community if they could donate cases of water to ensure that everyone can stay safe and hydrated.

Director of Development at Community of Caring, Maureen Dunn, said since yesterday’s ask, the response has been overwhelming.

“People started showing up first thing in the morning dropping off their cases of water, we had the staff here to help unload and we probably have right now over 400 cases of water that have been donated just today,” Dunn said.

Dunn explained that even as the cases were brought to their shelter, they still went out and delivered some to other organizations around the community to make sure they were also stocked.
