Construction progressing on Isaiah 1:17 House in Logan County [Video]

RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. (WBKO) – Since the groundbreaking ceremony in April, the Isaiah 1:17 House in Logan County is starting to take shape as construction on the home is rapidly progressing.

“We hope this structure will symbolize the safety these children feel as they pass through our red door on what could be one of the toughest days of their lives,” said Paula Washington, Support Coordinator for Isaiah 1:17 House.

With a foster care crisis in the state due to a shortage of families willing or able to temporarily take in children who are entering the foster care system, many of these children are finding themselves sleeping in the hallways and offices at social service facilities, churches, government offices, and even state parks. The national organization is dedicated to providing a safe and comfortable environment for those children as they transition into the system.
