Coping with Grief: Losing Your Soul Dog [Video]

In the blink of an eye, my life changed. I’ve just experienced the loss of my “soul dog”, Ruby. She was more than a pet to me, Her loss has left me engulfed by waves of grief and sadness. I’ve been told time and again that I’m not alone in this yet I really Am. No one can help me feel better. I’m allowing myself to feel, to let these emotions flow freely. It’s entirely normal to feel such a profound sense of sadness when you lose a pet who was an integral part of your life. I’m finding ways to honor Ruby’s memory. I’ve started an animal non profit called the apollo ruby foundation where we help people pay for vet care to avoid unnecessary euthanasia And finally, I’m reminding myself that it’s okay to laugh, to remember the good times, and to inch towards moving forward. I will never forget Ruby and in the end, my grief is not a sign of weakness, but a testament to the love I had for Ruby.
