KIDDER TOWNSHIP, CARBON COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Officials say the coroner called after a woman was struck and killed by a train in Carbon County.
Authorities confirmed with 28/22 News the crash happened just before 5:00 p.m., at the intersection of Route 534 and Tannery Road.
Officials say the Carbon County Coroner was called to the scene and the railroad police are investigating the incident.
Water issues continue to impact Stroud Twp. community
According to Lake Harmony’s Rescue Squad Chief Scott Wuttke, a woman in her 20s was struck and killed by a coal train.
Her identity has not been released to the public at this time.
