Cyclist ‘horrified’ after being hit from behind during hit-run in Melbourne [Video]

A cyclist who was hit from behind by an unknown driver in Melbourne’s south-east last week remains in hospital as police hunt for the offending motorist.

Enzo, a construction worker from Dingley, was cycling his usual route in Cheltenham, when he was hit by a car near the intersection of Brownfield Street about 5.50am on April 30.

“I was (riding) and saw that there was a $20 million jackpot at the chemist and I started spending that in my head and then next minute, I was in the ambulance. That was it,” he told 9News.

The 53-year-old had lights on and was wearing reflective safety gear when he was hit.

He was rushed to the trauma ward at the Alfred Hospital, where he underwent spinal surgery.
