DC presents award to daycare owner for saving 16 kids lives [Video]

WASHINGTON — Not all heroes wear capes and Regina Snead is a testimony to that. 

On Thursday, January 18, Snead, Director and Owner of Baby Einstein Child Development Center located on Marion Barry Avenue, SE, helped save the lives of 16 children from a catastrophic explosion. 

Heroism like that doesn’t go unnoticed. An event was held at Project Create located in Southeast to honor Snead on Saturday, April 6. 

DC Fire and Mayor Muriel Bowser acknowledged and celebrated the work Snead and her staff put in to save those kids. 

“It is only fitting that your bravery and quick thinking and dedication to serve families be celebrated.” D.C. Fire Chief John Donnelly spoke on behalf of Mayor Bowser.
