Deputies responding to car crash find womans body wrapped in blanket in back seat [Video]

EYOTA, Minn. (KTTC/Gray News) – Deputies responding to a crash in Minnesota over the weekend made a chilling discovery when they arrived at the scene.

In the backseat of the vehicle, deputies found a dead body wrapped in a blanket.

The body was identified as Liara Tsai, 35, of Minneapolis.

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to the single-vehicle crash on Interstate 90 near Eyota on Saturday morning when they found Tsai’s body in the back seat.

The sheriff’s office said it was “immediately apparent” that Tsai was dead prior to the crash because her body was wrapped in a blanket and there was blood from a neck wound.

The initial cause of death is listed as multiple sharp-force injuries, the sheriff’s office said.

Following the discovery of Tsai’s body, Minneapolis Police searched her Minneapolis home for clues as to what happened. Investigators were met with “a scene indicating violence,” officials said in a statement.
