These are life-changing injuries that require specialist rehabilitation, advice and support to help people and their families adapt and thrive following their injury. But this specialist support hasn’t always been in place. We take a look back through history at the developments in spinal cord injury awareness to help increase understanding of this life-changing injury and the rehabilitation available that enables independent, fulfilled living.
