Divers search for possible drowning victim in Lake Cumberland [Video]

PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56) — Multiple agencies have responded to the South Fork area of Lake Cumberland.

Around 8:25 p.m. the Burnside Fire Department posted on Facebook that multiple agencies had responded to the area and asked the public to avoid the area until the scene cleared. The fire department said divers were in the water but didn’t provide further details.

Kentucky Fish and Wildlife told FOX 56 News authorities were working to locate a drowning victim in the area. 

Around 10:39 p.m., fish and wildlife said the search was being suspended after the divers ran out of air. The search is expected to continue on Saturday after the divers have had time to rest.
