Donation site open at Claremore Expo Center following storms | News [Video]

Multiple agencies and nonprofits opened a site in Claremore where people affected by recent storms can access donations.

As of 2 p.m. Tuesday, donations are at mass capacity.

A press release announced the American Red Cross, Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief, OSU Extension and Tulsa Police Incident Management Team were opening the site at Claremore Expo Center Tuesday morning.

Donations can be dropped off for and picked up by area residents.

The Claremore Expo Center is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. According to the American Red Cross, no closing date has been set while they determine community response and needs.

Items needed include water, Gatorade, pet food, baby wipes, diapers, formula, hygiene products, first aid kits, work gloves, protein shakes and nonperishable food.

Clothes, shoes, perishable food and household items won’t be accepted as donations.
