Downed trees, structure fire related to severe weather reported in Smith County [Video]

UPDATE: Smith County officials said they have received nearly 300 calls for service since 8:30 a.m.

They have activated the Smith County Emergency Operations Center, which the city said is in constant communication with other emergency support function personnel.

The county said if anyone has suffered damages or have their power out and need to go to a shelter, they are asked to fill out a survey.

“We are currently working multiple responses and need to know if shelters are needed, as this would require additional resources,” Smith County Emergency Management Coordinator Brandon Moore said.
