Driver hurt after crash into Whitehall apartment building, cops say [Video]

A 33-year-old male driver was injured when the vehicle he was driving rolled down a hill and crashed into a Whitehall apartment building, police said.

Township police Lt. Gregory Bealer told lehighvalleylive.com the accident happened shortly after 4:20 p.m. Tuesday. It happened across from Lehigh Valley Mall along MacArthur Road, behind the Best Buy store, Bealer said.

For an unknown reason, the driver lost control and collided into a building on the property of Whitehall Estates, 1590 Alta Drive. There were no other reported injuries in the incident.

The driver was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg in Bethlehem for treatment, Bealer said. A condition was not immediately available Wednesday afternoon, however, Bealer said injuries didn’t appear life threatening.

Tuesday’s accident remains under investigation by the Whitehall Township Police Department.
